2024 Young Guns Challenge Texas Showdown

The Young Guns Challenge Texas Showdown is the highlight of the year at Caprock Rifle Club! This youth-only precision rifle match will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024. This match is open to youth shooters ages 8-18(age as of January 1, 2024), and will be an all prone shooting format with coaching allowed during the course of fire. Targets will be easily identifiable, and located from 100 to 1200 yards.  All youths must be accompanied by adult supervision. The purpose of this event is to build confidence, skills, and family relationships in the next generation of long range shooters. Entry fees go back to the prize table, and we have some great companies stepping up as sponsors. Lunch will be provided on site, with awards to follow immediately after match completion.

• Round Count: will not exceed 100 shots

• Caliber Restrictions: .30 cal/less than 3200 FPS

• Check In: 7:30AM

• Safety Brief: 8:00AM

• Match time: 8:30AM-4:00PM

• Checkout Instructions: During Checkout, add your youth shooter’s name and age as of January 1, 2024 in the “Additional Instructions” box on the checkout page. We’ll build our match roster and age classes from this info, it’s very important!
