September Monthly Skills Challenge

“Aim Small, Miss Small”

This month’s challenge is a simple test of you and your rifle’s precision. May the best group win!  

Challenge: Best 5 shot group at 300 yards. You may use any rifle and may complete the challenge as many times as you want. You must have a witness present for the shooting of your record group, and they must sign your target as verification. You can shoot as many sighters as you want prior to shooting your record group, but your record target can only have 5 shots on it! 

Target: BR-3 target, posted at 300 yards (measured from the shooting bench in bay 1 of the firing line). The target stand is painted Red. Record targets are in the bulletin board case at the range pavilion. Completed targets need to be turned in at the black drop box at the pavilion. Before turning in your target, write the following information in the top left corner: 

1. Shooter Name 

2. Date/time 

3. Rifle caliber 

4. Witness name 

5. Witness signature 

The deadline for turning in targets is September 29. We’ll announce the winner on September 30!
